BRIEF OVERVIEW
Pittsburgh Opera celebrates its 77th anniversary in 2015-16 with six opera
productions, many free and low-cost events, a renowned Resident Artist
training program, expansive education and accessibility programs, community
partnerships, and a green initiative that resulted in LEED Silver
Certification in the Operations & Maintenance category in 2011.

Pittsburgh Opera enriches Pittsburgh and the tri-state area and draws
national and international attention to the region by:
* creating live opera at the highest standards of artistic excellence;
making opera
intellectually and financially accessible to a diverse audience
* developing young American singers into tomorrow’s artists
* and ensuring the future through responsible fiscal management.

The Director of Development is responsible for managing and executing all
fundraising activities and initiatives that attract private and public
support for Pittsburgh Opera.  This includes the preparation of budgets,
supervision of staff and volunteers, development and implementation of
related fundraising strategies, campaigns, and special events.  The
position supervises the Associate Director of Development, Manager of
Corporate Development, Manager of Institutional Giving, Events Manager,
Individual Giving and Data Associate, and Development Interns.  This senior
staff position reports to the General Director.
