Akron's Premiere Black Box Theatre announces auditions for their 2016 spring line-up! None Too Fragile is located in the heart of Akron's Merriman Valley at the Southern Gateway to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. An intimate 80 seat, black box, Off Broadway style theatre is celebrating the opening of their 24th production and 4th theatrical season on January 28th, 2016!

AUDITIONS:
When: Sunday, November 22nd, 3 - 6pm.
No appointments. Arrive asap.

Needed: Contemporary Monologue/ Reading from selected script(s).
**All non-Equity Actors are paid a stipend of $400.
***Equity Contracts will be considered.

2. A Kid Like Jake by Daniel Pearle
Dramedy - directed by Sean Derry
March opening(TBD) 3 week/10 perf.
The admissions cycle for Manhattan's most exclusive private schools, Alex and Greg have high hopes for their son Jake, a precocious four-year-old who happens to prefer Cinderella to G.I. Joe. But as the process continues, Jake's behavior becomes erratic and perplexing, and other adults in his life start to wonder whether his fondness for dress-up might be cause for concern. The story of a husband and wife struggling to do right by their son, A KID LIKE JAKE is a study of intimacy and parenthood and the fantasies that accompany both.

3. The Beauty Queen of Leenane

April 22nd - May 7th
Set in the mountains of Conemara, County Galway, Ireland. The Beauty Queen of Leenane tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Golan, a plain and lonely woman, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen's first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the plays terrifying denouement.
