*CONCERT TO BENEFIT IRELAND’S RISE FOUNDATION *

*– Helping Irish families with a loved one in addiction*

Frances Black, one of Ireland’s most beloved singers since the 1980s, will
be joined on stage by Liz Carroll, one of the world’s best Irish fiddlers
for a star-studded benefit concert for the Dublin-based RISE Foundation.
The Sunday, January 17th concert begins at 7pm at the Music Box Supper Club.

Frances Black, a chart-topping, award-winning entertainer, fresh off a
successful fall tour of Ireland’s best venues, will sing the songs that
made her a household name in Ireland. Liz Carroll, who has earned a Grammy
nomination and an All-Ireland championship among her may honors and awards,
will exhibit her virtuosity on the fiddle with her original compositions in
the Irish tradition. Aoife Scott, an emerging star from Dublin, will sing
traditional Irish songs and contemporary Irish music from her newly
released CD. Rebecca Brady and Patrick Campbell, veterans of Michael
Flatley’s *Lord of the Dance*, will dazzle with their renowned Irish step
dancing. The New Barleycorn, Cleveland’s most popular Irish duo, will
anchor the show performing favorites with vitality, passion, and a touch of
passion.

The show is sponsored by Friends of RISE-Ireland, Inc. in cooperation with
the Music Box Supper Club. Proceeds benefit the RISE Foundation in support
of families in Ireland with a loved one in addiction.
The RISE Foundation is a registered charity with its principal office in
Dublin, founded by the popular singer Frances Black to support families
impacted by a loved one’s addictive behavior. Grateful for her own recovery
from alcohol addiction, Frances felt inspired her to set-up a primary care
organization that would support family members in their feeling of
powerlessness, heartache, stress and anxiety. So she founded The RISE
Foundation in 2009.

*“The reality of addiction is that it doesn’t just destroy the person, it
destroys relationships, self-worth, and the family unit. My philosophy is
that it is important for the whole family to step into recovery, addiction
is a family disease”*

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) awarded Frances with a prestigious
Social Entrepreneur of the Year award 2010 and 2011. The RISE Foundation
also won a Vodafone World of Difference award 2010.

The Cleveland benefit concert is one of three being staged for the RISE
Foundation with Frances Black and friends also performing shows in New York
City on January 14th and in Boston on January 16th.

Doors open at 5pm, the show begins at 7pm on Sunday, January 17, 2015 at
the Music Box Supper Club, 1148 Main Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
Tickets start at $35 and are available exclusively at the Music Box Supper
Club box office or online at www.musicboxcle.com.
