Casting Notice short film, "Now Available!"

*Description: *At a failing video rental store, a lonely clerk watches
movies and daydreams about finding the love of his life when he meets a
girl who just might be the one.

character you’re reading for and we’ll send you the sides! You can read for
multiple characters if you like.


Auditions should be taped and posted to Youtube, Vimeo or any other video
site, whichever is convenient, and the link emailed to:
nowavailablefilm at gmail.com.  If for some reason you’re having trouble
sending in a video audition, let us know!


We're seeking actors for the following roles:

1. Adam

A video store clerk in his mid 20's who is brokenhearted after his latest
breakup and down on his luck.  His is offbeat, charming and sarcastic.

2. Rachel

An early to mid 20's, 9 month pregnant, soon to be single mom.  Quick
witted, sarcastic with an ever optimistic disposition.  Does not need to be
pregnant in reality.

3. Captain Jack Marshall

Star of the hit low budget action franchise "Final Showdown."  He is the
classic tough talking, weapon wielding action hero with a heart of gold.
Anywhere from 30’s to 60’s.

4. Kate Carter

Co-star of the hit low budget action franchise “Final Showdown.”  Tough as
nails sidekick/love interest to Captain Jack Marshall.  Anywhere from 30’s
to 60’s.

5. Evie

A 20 to 30 something year old bride who is dumping her long time boyfriend
Todd to marry a rich stranger.  Character exists in an over the top, cliche
romantic comedy that plays on television.

6. Todd

A 20 to 30 something year old man who is being dumped by his long time
girlfriend as she leaves to marry someone else.  Character exists in an
over the top, cliche romantic comedy that plays on television.

7. Lawyer

A confrontational, fierce lawyer with years of experience.  Not afraid to
fight for the law, or for love.  Exists in an over the top, cliche romantic
comedy that plays on television.

8. Ms. Whitman

A strong, independent 30 to 50 something woman.  Exists in an over the top,
cliche romantic comedy that plays on television.

We’re accepting video auditions until Monday, January 11th and callbacks
will be in person that same week.  No compensation available unfortunately,
but it’s a fun script with a great crew and should be a good time! Aiming
for showings at a number of festivals.  Copies of the finished product will
be provided.
