VANYA and SONIA and MASHA and SPIKE

AUDITIONS, SUNDAY, JANUARY 24 & MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2016.  7 pm.  (Must be
signed in by 8pm.)  

These are OPEN AUDITIONS.  We will be reading sides (scenes) from the
script.  You can sign up for Sunday or Monday here

appointments,  just the day.     Sign up and we will send the sides.   Or
come early to auditions and you can review them beforehand.    

 

THE PLAY

Sigourney Weaver.     

ACTORS NEEDED - Please note that ages are flexible, but must be relative to
other characters.

VANYA -  50s, living in Bucks County.  Resigned to his life, more or less,
at least compared to Sonia.

SONIA - his step sister, early 50s, living with him in Bucks County.
Discontented, upset, regretful.  Must

be able to do a recognizable Maggie Smith vocal impersonation. 

MASHA - his sister, 50s, glamorous and successful actress who goes
gallivanting around the world.

SPIKE - an aspiring actor, 20s, sexy, "buff" - has a physique that he isn't
shy about exhibiting.  Masha's

new companion.

NINA - lovely, sincere, would-be actress, 20s, visiting her aunt and uncle
next door. Star-struck.  

CASSANDRA - cleaning lady and soothsayer, any age.  

  

THE REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will start in early March.    They are M-Th from 7-10pm.   Sunday
rehearsals are either 2-5pm or 

7 - 10pm, depending on Playhouse availability & actors
conflicts/preferences.  Technical/dress rehearsals are Sunday, April 17
(noon to 10:00pm) and April 18, 19, 20, (6:00pm - 10:00pm).

 

THE PERFORMANCES 

April 21 - May 8.    Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at
7:30pm.   Sunday performances are 2:30 matinees.
