A physically integrated dance workshop, led by Mary Verdi-Fletcher,
President/Founding Artistic Director and Catherine Meredith, Rehearsal
Director from the Dancing Wheels Company & School, for educators who work
with students with disabilities (dance educators, physical education
instructors, physical therapists, music or dance therapists, teachers,
etc.). Discussion and hands-on learning activities will introduce
participants to the field of physically integrated dance and the specific
training methods of the Dancing Wheels Company. These training methods fuse
scientific and artistic disciplines in the creation of a dance curriculum
that enables dancers with and without disabilities to train together.
