*Auditions for **Oberlin Summer Theater Festival**:*



OSTF, now going into it’s 8th season, operates under the auspices of
Oberlin College, and presents Family Theater Classics in Hall Auditorium
(on the College campus) in rotating rep during the month of July. All shows
are presented ADMISSION FREE, and attract large audiences of all ages from
throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond, last year about 10,000 total.



OSTF is currently looking for Equity and Non-Equity Actors for it’s 2016
Summer Season,

Time: February 27, 1 – 5pm

Place: Studio 3, Warner Center, Oberlin College, Oberlin OH

(Oberlin is about a 45 minute drive SW of downtown Cleveland)

Please attach electronic copy of your picture and resume.

Prepare two short pieces, including Shakespeare, if possible.

(We are not looking for children. No actors under 21, please.)



2016 Season:



*Anne of Green Gables*  - by Peter DeLaurier, adapted from the novel by
Montgomery

First rehearsal: May 24th. Show opens: June 24th, 15 performances in
rotating rep until closing: July 31st.   10 weeks of employment



*Macbeth* by William Shakespeare, adapted/directed by Paul Moser

First rehearsal: May 31st . Show opens: July 1st , 13 performances in
rotating rep until closing: July 30th .  9 weeks of employment



*Inherit the Wind* by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee

First rehearsal: June 7th. Show opens: July 8th, 11 performances in
rotating rep until closing: July 30th .  8 weeks of employment



*Actor Compensation:*

Local Equity actors are hired under AEA’s Guest Artist, Tier 1 contract.
$325/wk. (25 hr/wk max., 2 days off/wk min.) Includes weekly AEA Health
Insurance payments and small local transportation allowance.

Non-equity actors receive $150 week (for both rehearsal and performance
weeks, for one role/show; more for two roles/shows) plus small local
transportation allowance. Equity rehearsal schedule, etc..

Because OSTF rehearses and performs in rotating rep, actors must be
available both afternoons and evenings as needed.
