[NEohioPAL] EN-RICH-MENT'S FIRST DRUMMING COMPETITION FOR 8 - 16 YEAR OLD YOUTH

EN-RICH-MENT, a not for profit program that provides free music lessons,
instruments, education, training, art, dance, voice and drumline to
underserved urban youth ages 5 - 18, will host its FIRST DRUMMING
COMPETITION PRESENTED BY THE BLUECOATS DRUM & BUGLE CORPS (ages 8 to 16)
(Marching and Free-Style) APRIL 2ND, 11 AM - 3PM, Arts in Stark Ed Center,
1014 Cleveland Ave., NW Canton.

 

 

Each contestant will have up to two minutes to showcase their skills in one
of two classes - marching percussion using a marching snare, quads, or bass
drum, or free-style percussion using buckets, trash cans or homemade
instruments.  Each class will have three age groups - 8-10, 11-13, 14-16.  

 

In addition to an overall winner in each class, our judges will select a
winner from each age group.  Each winner will receive a trophy.  In
addition, the overall winner from the marching percussion class will win
$100, two tickets to the Bluecoats' Innovations in Brass: Massillon
competition at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium and a day "behind the scenes" with
the 2016 Bluecoats Drumline.  The overall winner from the free-style class
will win $100, two tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers game, and an evening
"behind the scenes" with Cavs QStix Entertainment Ensemble.

QStix.
