Where: Tri-C Campus in Parma, Ohio
When: March 25, (Fri) from 9:15am to 1:15pm

This is our 5th year of working together with local talent! Cuyahoga
Community College's beginner level film and video students are creating
several short projects (experimental videos, commercials, and short
narrative films), and need local talent. This is an "Intro to Filmmaking"
class, taught by Prof. Bruno Tatalovic. Several students who completed this
course in previous years – are now established local film artists, and they
won filmmaking awards at Ohio’s film festivals and Cleveland’s 48-Hour-Film
contests.

This type of collaboration is perfect for beginner level actors who need
more footage for their first demo-reel. Each of these projects feature 1-2
actors only, and gives you a lot of screen time and dialogue or monologue
lines. These are unpaid (volunteer / collaborate) productions. Get your
first credit, your acting demo, and establish new relationships with
like-minded content creators.

As we know – it’s very difficult to start up in film industry and (if
you’re an actor) to get an agent. So, if you REALLY want to become an actor
- join local indie film artists and students now, and create content! Don't
just wait for big Hollywood films to come to town once a year, so you can
be an INVISIBLE and UNCREDITED “extra”. ACT in local student projects!
Also, if you have NO screen acting experience, but you truly BELIEVE that
you have what it takes - COME and try out! These projects are 1 day (half a
day) productions, sometimes in late March and April (based on actors'
availability). This is “walk-in” audition (cold read or short personal
monologue - if desired).

at the end of this email), come, and bring the following:
-- 8x10 headshot or picture of yourself;
-- acting resume (even if it’s very minimal);
-- if you don’t have a resume, make sure to have personal contact info (or
business card);

Feel free to invite your actor friends. Join us!

Only actors who ATTEND this audition in person will be considered. If
students don't find appropriate talent at this audition - they might
consider additional talent (but the preference will be given to those who
show up).

SAG-AFTRA members are welcome, but they must prepare and coordinate union
paperwork themselves. The beginner level students are not fully prepared
(at this level) to handle advanced professional level producing duties,
such as union contracts. Plus, the union requires paperwork well in advance.

MINORS: if you're under 18 years of age, your parent must give you
permission to audition and act. Bring your parent, or have him/her sign a
form - giving you permission.

ACTORS-WRITERS: If you are screenwriter-actor, or if you have an amazing
location that student can use - feel free to pitch your own idea or short
script, BUT it must follow 3-2-1 formula: only 3 pages, only 2 characters
in it, and only 1 shooting location! Bring printed pitches or scripts to
audition.
