BOOTYCANDY: now onstage at con-con Thurs, Fri, Sat through April 16
--FUNNY, SMUTTY AND ENTICINGLY SUBVERSIVE--

“provocative, profound, perverse and very funny” “an audacious piece of work”
(Bob Ablelman, Cleveland Jewish News)

“Bootycandy pushes the envelope” (Roy Berko)

Bootycandy, by the daring playwright Robert O’Hara and directed by
Terrence Spivey, is a raucous, hilarious and fearless satire about a young
man’s outrageous odyssey growing up gay and black in modern America.
Bootycandy takes a funny and subversive look at attitudes toward sexuality
in African-American culture in a wild series of ribald (nudity alert),
disturbing, heartwarming and downright hysterical scenes from his
childhood home, his church, dive bars and discos, motel rooms and even a
nursing home.

Bootycandy runs Thu-Sat at 8 pm through April 16 at the Liminis Theater,
2438 Scranton Rd, Cleveland 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood.
