Cleveland Play House (LORT B, C, and D), America’s first regional theatre andrecipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is accepting applicationsfor an Assistant Technical Director.  CPH produces a 7 show main stage season, a children’stour and 2 shows with the Case Western Reserve University MFA acting program. TheATD will assist the TD in all aspects of scenicconstruction and installation. Primary responsibilities include drafting ofconstruction drawings, tracking and maintaining budgets and inventories for thescene shop, ordering materials, tools and supplies, and researching materials. TheATD also takes the lead in construction and installation of the children’s tourand MFA shows. Qualified candidates will havea working knowledge of stage carpentry and rigging and 1-3 yearsprofessional experience, preferably in regional theatre. Purchasing and budget tracking experience a plus. Positionrequires strong communication, organizational andplanning skills. Experience with AutoCAD or VectorWorks, and MS Office softwarerequired.  A valid driver’s license andclean DMV record also required. Must be able to work at heights and lift up to50 pounds. Position is full time, salaried and runs the beginning ofJuly through the beginning of June.
