*Please prepare the following:*

*Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show, bring sheet
music (accompanist will be provided).

*Bring a headshot and resume if available

*Please bring movement clothes

**Callbacks are by invitation ONLY* - Singing and Reading from the script
to take place at callbacks.

*If you wish to audition but are not able to make it to the above dates,
please contact the box office by phone at 440-842-4600 to see if alternate
arrangements are possible.

*Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have during the rehearsal
period.

Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 3:00 PM



*Rehearsal Information:*

Rehearsals will tentatively begin the week of June 6, 2016

Rehearsals dates and times are to be determined.



*Synopsis:*

Based on the classic 1987 motion picture, *Big, The Musical* follows Josh
who is sick of being an awkward kid. He makes a wish to become "big", and
to his shock, his wish is granted. Josh is forced to do "adult" things like
get a job and a girlfriend. In the end he discovers there's much more to
being an adult than he's bargained for. He learns we must all grow up at
our own pace, in our own time.



*PRINCIPLE CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS AND VOCAL RANGES**: *



*Josh Baskin: *The story’s protagonist. He has the mind, spirit and
innocence of a 13 year old trapped in the body of a 30 year old. Age 25-35.
Vocal Range: Tenor (Bb2 – B4)



*Susan Lawrence: *The attractive, business oriented Vice President of
Marketing at MacMillan Toy Company. Possesses a secret giddy, school girl
innocence about her. She eventually falls for Josh. Age 30-40. Vocal Range:
Mezzo Soprano (G3 – F5)



*Mrs. Baskin: *Josh’s frustrated, protective and loving mother who is
struggling with parenting a pre-teen. Age 35-45. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano
(G3 – F#5)



*Billy Kopecki: *Josh’s best and most supportive friend. He is optimistic,
inventive and encouraging. Age 11-13.  Vocal Range: Countertenor/Changing
Treble Voice (F#3 – F5)



*Young Josh Baskin: *Obscure, seventh grade pre-teen who is frustrated by
his parents and his age. Age 11-13.  Vocal Range: Countertenor/Treble (F3 –
G5)



*George MacMillan: *The owner of MacMillan Toy Company who is fighting to
save his company. Distinguished, playful and a bit spry. Age 60-70. Vocal
Range: Baritone (C3 – G4)



*Paul Seymour: *The Vice President for Product Development at MacMillan Toy
Company vying for Susan’s affection. Handsome, aggressive, self-absorbed.
Age 30-40. Vocal Range: Baritone/Bass (Ab3 – Eb4)



*Ensemble: *Adults, Children, Sales People, Junior Executives. Ages 10 and
up welcome.
