Short Film Competition Marketing / Production Internship

Description

The 48 Hour Film Project is seeking interns for this year’s Cleveland
competition. The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP) is the world’s largest timed
film competition, now in over 140 cities around the world. Filmmakers have
just two days to write, produce, and edit their short films using a genre,
character, prop, and line of dialogue that aren’t revealed until Kickoff.
All films are screened locally and judged by a panel of film professionals
for a variety of awards. The Best Film in each city moves on to the 48HFP’s
international competition and festival, Filmapalooza. There, the top films
from around the world are screened and judged for a whole new set of
prizes, including a chance to screen at Cannes Film Festival.

Interns will get a behind-the-scenes look at the marketing and
implementation of the festival, while working directly with the Cleveland
producer. Additional benefits include networking opportunities, helping to
produce screenings and events for the local filmmaking community, and
watching and analyzing short films from some of the area’s top filmmakers.
The ideal candidate will be self-directed and have a passion for film
(filmmaking experience encouraged but not required).
