Auditions for the musical “James and the Giant Peach - TYA” this weekend

Auditions for the youth musical "James and the Giant Peach - TYA" will be held this weekend at Arlene's Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, OH. No appointment is necessary; all of our auditions are on a first-come/first-served basis.

Auditions are open to all school-age kids/teens going into first grade through graduated seniors. Auditions will be Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. and Sunday from 5-7:30 p.m. Callbacks (if needed) will be Monday from 6-8 p.m.

Auditioners are encouraged to prepare and be ready to sing a song. Please bring sheet music, if possible. The audition may also involve reading from the script. Performance dates are July 29-31 and 5-7.

A delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, the creative possibilities with James and the Giant Peach are endless. Actors will love playing the outlandish characters and performing brand new material from one of Broadway's hottest duos. Director is Kirsten Emerson. Auditions for “Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar and Grille” at ABOB this weekend

Did you ever wonder what the end of the world would be like?

Well, here's your chance! Arlene's Broadway on Buffalo will hold auditions for the dark comedy "Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar and Grille" May 15-16 at the theater, 236 Buffalo Street, Conneaut. Auditions will be from 5-7 p.m. May 15 and 7-9 p.m. May 16. Performance dates are June 24-26 and July 1-2.

From a review:

"Graham’s intelligent and humorous (yes, humorous) script keeps everything low-key. The reason for Armageddon is mostly left ambiguous, other than it appears to be manmade. That’s not the focus of the play. Instead, we zero in on a well defined group of strangely upbeat small town folk as they unceremoniously come to grips with their impending doom. (Think “On the Beach” rather than “Dr. Strangelove”.)

Cast is 5 men and 2 women of various ages. See https://www.facebook.com/BroadwayonBuffalo/?pnref=story or www.broadwayonbuffalo.com for information.
