The Cleveland Asian Festival (CAF) has become the fastest growing, and one
of the most popular, Cleveland festivals over the last 7 years because of
the diverse entertainment on two stages, community resources, AsiaTown
Trolley Tours, kids and family activities, Health Pavilion and more.
But let's face it. The wide variety of Asian foods in the Asian Food Court
and the fun and informative vendors in the World Marketplace are always very
popular.
CAF co-founder Lisa Wong says, "We are excited to be featuring Korean
popular culture with the K-Pop Cover Dance competition so this year we will
have three Korean Food vendors: Miega Korean BBQ, Seoul Garden for Korean
American Association of Greater Cleveland; and new this year is K-Food by
Mary Israel Koh who is best known for her Gourmet marinade sauce to expedite
Korean cooking which she plans on selling at their booth."
Also new this year in the Asian Food court presented by Cleveland Public
Power is Pho Thang Cafe, Banh Mi and Noodles Asian Bistro, SnowBros Shavery
(a dessert truck specializing in a fun, unique and delicious dessert
experience called shaved snow) and Umami Moto who will be debuting their new
food truck with Korean Burritos and other Asian Fusion offerings after their
cross country journey with Stouffer's.
A number of returning food vendors include popular favorites Lotus Thai
House, Ono Turo-Turo (Filipino food), Siam Cafe, Asia Food Co., Thai Thai
(formally Asian Grille), Han's Chinese Barbecue and Grill, Indian Delight,
Number One Pho, Sugar Cane juice by One Stop Drink Shop, Good Harvest Market
Inc., Flavors of India, Koko Bakery and Otani Japanese Restaurant serving up
sushi And Asian Services in Action will be offering a variety of Asian foods
including the popular Japanese Onigiri.
In addition to shaved snow desserts at SnowBros Shavery, you can find a
variety of shaved iced desserts at Koko Bakery and halo, halo from Ono Turo
Turo. Mason's Creamery will be featuring unique Asian flavors including a
variety of vegan ice creams.
If you're thirsty, there will be bubble tea (also known as boba milk tea),
lassi, and a specialty shake up fruit drink from Real Fruit with their Kung
Pow Mango to go around. You can also support the all-volunteer festival at
the CAF Beverage Station for bottled water, soft drinks, and new this year,
Kulong Vitamin Enriched Energy Drinks with sugar and sugar free options.
Hungry yet?
Dozens of interesting and important community organizations and resources
will be featured both inside and out. The shopping in the World Marketplace
will offer unique items such as the latest in new kimono fashion, and gently
used vintage and antique kimono from Ohio Kimono.
There is truly something for everyone to enjoy which was one of the goals of
the volunteer founders of the Cleveland Asian Festival who created the event
seven year ago.
