Kent State University at Trumbull's Summer Stock kicks off with "The
Greater Watauga County Annex’s 17th Annual Hollerin’ Contest"

Kent State University at Trumbull Summer Stock is pleased to announce
production of Jonathan Fitts’ The Greater Watauga County Annex’s 17th
Annual Hollerin’ Contest: Sponsored by Mabel Meriwether’s Blackberry Jam.
This play, set in the Blue Mountains, is fun for the whole family! The play
is directed by Jim Canacci, associate lecturer, Kent State University at
Trumbull.

Jack Hamish is the reigning champion of the junior division hollerin'
contest, and this year he's slated to break his father's record for the
most consecutive wins! However, when a new girl comes to town with a holler
that might beat his, Jack resolves to do everything he can to prevent her
from hollerin'.

Special Note: Jonathan Fitts, writer of The Greater Watauga County Annex’s
17th Annual Hollerin’ Contest, will be a special guest in attendance the
first night of the performance. Fitts is a Los Angeles based playwright.

Show dates are June 24 & 25 at 8:00 p.m., and June 26 at 3:00 p.m. To
purchase tickets, call the box office at 330-675-8887 or email
trumbullboxoffice at kent.edu. Tickets are $10 for Adults, $8 for Students and
Seniors, $6 for Children under 12, and FREE for KSU Students enrolled in
summer semester.
