First Congregational Church of Akron is seeking a Music Director and/or
Organist who is eager to join with the Senior Minister, staff, and laity to
take this 182-year-old congregation to the next level of ministry and
worship.

As Music Director and Organist, you will join a team that believes
in working collaboratively and creatively. You will have the
opportunity to build upon a strong foundation and rich tradition
of music programming, and benefit from long established
partnerships between the church, the University of Akron, and
area artists. You will work alongside the Senior Minister to
accompany worship services and oversee all aspects of music programming
supporting the church in its goal of ministering to a diverse membership
and area neighbors.

We are seeking a passionate Music Director with an entrepreneurial spirit
who is willing to take chances in the quest to keep Akron’s oldest church
at the forefront of ministry, looking toward our future as we treasure our
past.

The church welcomes applications for either one or both aspects of our
combined job description for a (1) fulltime Music Director and Organist or
(2) a fulltime Music Director and part-time Organist. Applications are due
