*ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS For the Cassidy YOUTH Theater Production of *

*Into The Woods Jr.*

*Audition Dates: *

*Friday, August 5th from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.*

*Saturday, August 6th from 1 p.m. – 4p.m.*

*CALLBACKS: * if required, will be Saturday, August 14th at 1 p.m.*



*Location: *The Cassidy Theatre, 6200 Pearl Road, Parma Hts., OH 44130

(In the Greenbrier Commons, behind the Police Station)

*Please prepare the following:*

*Please prepare a song to sing for the audition. Bring sheet music in the
appropriate key (accompanist will be provided). Acapella singing is
acceptable.

* All those auditioning will be given a short monologue to read as well.

**Please be prepared to stay for the entire audition time, as some may be
asked to learn a short piece of music from the show, or read from the
script.*

*Please bring a current photo. Resumes will be accepted but are not
required.

*Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have during the rehearsal
period.



*Rehearsals: will be held weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons and will
begin in mid-August.*



*Performance Dates for Into the Woods:*

Friday, October 28th at 7 p.m.

Saturday, October 29th at 2 p.m.

Sunday October 30th at 2 p.m.

*Show Information: *

Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

*Show Synopsis:* When a baker and his wife learn they've been cursed by the
witch next door, they embark on a quest to break the spell placed on them.
Along the way they meet a forest filled with fractured Grimm’s fairytale
characters. A bewitching take on lessons learned and loss of innocence when
you journey into the woods.

*Cast-* 9 young men, 11 young ladies, 10 – 17 years old.
