CASTING CALL: STAGED TABLE READ -- FEMALE ROLES

Local writer/director Craig Knowles is holding a STAGED TABLE READING for in-development feature-length adult comedy in order to help refine the project and gauge public reaction.
LOGLINE:An oversexed married couple attempt to fulfill a threesome fantasy before the husband’s 40th birthday.
CONTENT ADVISORYThe script is an R-rated screwball sex comedy containing adult sexual situations and modern language of a highly-sexual nature. It’s all good natured fun but the situations and discussions may be too frank for some.
ABOUT THE READINGLines need not be memorized, but simply acted from the page during the performance. All actors will be seated and mic’d during the performance. Applicants should have experience with comedy and/or theatre.
TIME COMMITMENT6-8 hours. An afternoon and evening. The afternoon will be the practice/feedback/direction reading, followed by the evening staged reading in front of a small audience.
COMPENSATIONA small stipend, meals, refreshments, a DVD recording of the performance, and a lot of fun will be provided.
OPEN ROLES:
FEMALE NARRATOR/HOSTReads the non-dialog portions of the script aloud -- action, descriptions, locations, etc. -- and plays an important character near the climax of the film.
CARRIEMid 30s. Fred’s wallflower wife. Is dearly in love with Fred. Co-leading role.
SUPPORTING FEMALE #1Reads for 7 warm and genuine supporting female characters, some being escorts, ranging from 21 to 95 years of age.
SUPPORTING FEMALE #2Reads for 13 “rougher around the edges” supporting female characters, some being prostitutes, ranging from 17-95 year of age.
