 Dobama Theatre Seeks Box Office Assistant,Concessions Manager/Bartender and House Managers for its 2016/17 Season BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT (Part-Time)THE OPPORTUNITYDobama Theatre is currently seeking a part-time Box OfficeAssistant.The position reports directly to the Associate ManagingDirector. The Box Office Assistant will work four hours per day,Wednesday through Saturday during mainstage performance weeks. The positionbegins August 2016. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDuties include, but are not be limited to:-       Reviewing andanswering all box office e-mail and phone messages-       Selling tickets towalk-up patrons -       Operating allticketing system functions, including taking orders, entering memberships,completing membership exchanges, creating and running reports and keepingabreast of system updates-       Printing, processingand organizing tickets-       Other office supportas needed, dependent on skills and experienceEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSWork experience with a computerized ticketing systempreferred, but not required. Experience handling money, a congenial andwelcoming phone personality and strong work ethic desired. COMPENSATIONThe position pays $11/hour. The Box Office Assistant willwork up to 16 hours/week during performance weeks. The Concessions Manager/Bartender would set up 30 minutesbefore the theatre opens and work through the end of intermission at eachperformance. The season runs from September 1, 2016 thru May 21, 2017. Thisperson would be needed for weekday and Saturday performances. For fullperformance schedule visit dobama.orgKEY RESPONSIBILITIESDuties include, but are not limited to:-       Serving patrons in anefficient and inviting manner.-       Keeping inventory ofall beer, wine and liquor products-       Stocking the bar andcleaning up after intermission, up after intermission-       Serving beer and wine,building/serving a limited menu of cocktails-       Balancing the drawernightly and preparing a bar reportEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSBartending, food service, or concessions experiencepreferred, but not required. Should be professional, organized and have anengaging personality.  COMPENSATIONThe position pays $40 per service, plus tips. This includes the preparation ofconcessions, overseeing ushers, programs and patron issues. Duties include, butare not limited to the following:-       Assigning ushers toneeded positions-       Instructing ushers intheir responsibilities prior to, during and after performances-       Ensuring the theatre,lobby and restrooms areas are clean and orderly  -       Stocking and preparingconcessions prior to performances  -       Taking inventory ofconcession items to ensure proper stocking-       Overseeing thestuffing and distribution of programs and flyers prior to the performances-       Answering questionsfrom volunteers and patrons in an accurate manner.-       Preparing and sendingHouse Management Report-       Confirming opening ofthe house with Stage Manager-       Arranging for specialseating needs (i.e. handicapped, hearing or sight impaired, VIPs)-       Assisting with openingnight parties and other receptions EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSApplicants should exhibit a positive attitude, enjoy workingwith wide variety of people and present themselves as a professionalrepresentative of Dobama Theatre. Experience preferred, but not required.COMPENSATIONHouse Managers are paid $50/per service. Two house managersare scheduled to work for each Mainstage performance.
