Seat of the Pants Productions is proud to present Gore Vidal's THE BEST
MAN. Written and premiering on Broadway in 1960, this Tony-nominated
poitical satire is still witty and prophetic against the backdrop of the
2016 presidential election. THE BEST MAN pits William Russell against Joe
Cantwell as they both vie for their party's nomination during a contested
convention. The battle for delegates finds both men courting a countrified
former president for his endorsement, managing crises with their respective
wives, and fielding increasingly corrupt suggestions from their campaign
managers. Skewering both the left and the right, offering biting critiques
of how we "do" politics, and raising important questions about character
and ethics, THE BEST MAN is sure to be more entertaining than tuning into
the actual news.

The production stars: Heidi Swinford, Stephanie Cargill, Margo Parker,
Scott Miesse, Greg Emanuelson, Nick Bailey, Bob McCoy, Tom Stephan, Matthew
Heppe, Joe Haladey, and Stephen Berg.

The production runs July 29th through August 7th, with shows on Fridays and
Saturdays at 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM. Performances are at The Black Box
Theatre at GlenOak High School, 1801 Schneider Street NE in Canton.
