*Ballet @ the Brickyard combining world-class artistry and local arts in
Mansfield*



July 1, 2016 — World premiere dance, Grammy-winning jazz singer Sylvia
McNair, pop-up art galleries, food trucks, local beers and wines and more
are filling downtown Mansfield’s popular Brickyard district on Saturday,
July 30, beginning at 6 p.m. for Neos Dance Theatre’s third annual Ballet @
the Brickyard.



Tickets are available at www.neosdancetheatre.org or that evening at the
entrance gate off Main Street and Temple Court. VIP Tent tickets are $65,
General Admission tickets are $25, and General Admission tickets for
students and seniors are $15.



The VIP Tent features heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine and beer catered by
Moveable Feast, cigars and cognac provided by City News, and reserved
chairs for the performances.



The General Admission area features a cash bar with Cypress Hill wines,
Phoenix Brewery craft beers and other beverages, plus local food-trucks
Sunset Slush (Italian ice cream), Mitchell’s Orchard (apple dumplings),
Altered Eats, and L.A. Dogs. General Admission guests are encouraged to
bring their own chairs or blankets for the performances.



The work of local artists can be seen and purchased throughout the area.
Live entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with Kelly Knowlton in the upper
Brickyard. Local singer-songwriter and guitarist Cody Nicolaus performs on
the new Richland County Foundation/Hire Family Foundation Stage at 8 p.m.


The spotlight performance by Neos Dance Theatre begins at 8:45 p.m. on
the Richland
County Foundation/Hire Family Foundation Stage, sponsored by Mechanics
Bank. The world premiere celebrates beloved standards from the Great
American Songbook, sung by local opera-star-turned-jazz-singer Sylvia
McNair and choreographed by Neos artistic director Bobby Wesner. Other
pieces include work by Neos resident choreographer Mary-Elizabeth Fenn and
Chicago choreographer Stephanie Martinez.



Ballet @ the Brickyard is sponsored by Cleveland Financial Group, Charles
P. Hahn, CFP, and is the kick off for Neos’ 2016-17 season. Neos, a
non-profit contemporary ballet company, performs and teaches in Akron,
Mansfield, Findlay, Oberlin, and beyond.
