CASTING CALL: STAGED TABLE READ -- NARRATOR/FEMALE MOUNTIE
Betty White? Francis McDormand? Are you out there? Anyone want to step outside their comfort zone in the name of comedy?
Local writer/director Craig Knowles is holding a STAGED TABLE READING for in-development feature-length adult comedy entitled “Niagara” in order to help refine the project and gauge public reaction. All other parts are in place and you are the final piece of the puzzle.
LOGLINE:An oversexed married couple attempt to fulfil their threesome fantasy before the husband’s 40th birthday.
CONTENT ADVISORYThe script is an R-rated screwball sex comedy. It contains "Sex in the City"/"The Hangover"/"Porky's" style adult situations and modern dialog of a highly-sexual nature. It’s all good natured fun played for comedic purposes, but the situations have been too frank for some local actresses. Are you the one who will step up and grab this role?
TIME COMMITMENT6-8 hours. An afternoon and evening. The afternoon will be the practice/feedback/direction reading, followed by the evening staged reading in front of a small audience.
COMPENSATIONA small stipend, meals, refreshments, a DVD recording of the performance, and a lot of fun will be provided.
OPEN ROLES:
NARRATOR/FEMALE MOUNTIEReads the non-dialog portions of the script aloud -- action, descriptions, locations, etc. -- and plays an important character near the climax of the film. You will be reading aloud a lot of sexual situations for comedic purposes. Please make sure you’re ok with that before applying for the role.
Please submit headshot/demo reel/resume to: craigknowles at gmail.com.
Thanks for your time.Craig
