*Find out what happens after “happily ever after”in Sondheim’s beloved
musical theatre tribute to fairy tales*

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO – Hathaway Brown Theatre Institute concludes its 2016

modern *adaptation of classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales by Stephen
Sondheim and James Lapine, presented at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker

Lapine and Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring
them together *with an epic fairy tale about wishes, family and the choices
we make.* The TONY Award-winning book and score are enchanting and moving,
and were the basis for the hit movie starring Meryl Streep.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella
who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would
give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child
because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the
curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions
return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
