[NEohioPAL] Casting at Mapleside Farms

In its continued tradition of creating an amazing experience for its guests
Mapleside Farms is casting for its Fall Season 2016

Strolling characters for meet & greet weekends and “The Princess and the
Pumpkin,” a brand new stage show written and directed by Martin Carlton -
(you will not be able to do both)



Strolling characters: 9 days over 4 weekends - Some work every weekend,
some won’t

September 10, 11, 24, 25, October 14, 15, 16, 24, 25 - shifts are 8 hours
including lunch and breaks



We need beautiful, attractive, adorable princesses and handsome, fit men
for our Princess & Pirates weekend and others.  (Paul Bunyan should be over
6’4” with a muscular build).

Our intent is to cast YOU as multiple characters for multiple weekends.  Please
be versatile.  You should know if you fit the character(s).



*Women*: Princess Tiana, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Elsa, Anna, Annie
Oakley, Pocahontas, Amelia Earhart, Storm, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, Belle
Starr



*Men*: Blackbeard, Capt. Hook, Captain Jack Sparrow, Dread Pirate Roberts,
Paul Bunyan

Huck Finn, Mark Twain, John Henry, Iron Man, Batman, Superman, Wolverine

Captain America, Buffalo Bill, Wyatt Earp, Billy the Kid



*The Princess and the Pumpkin: *

September (17, 18, 24, 25 soft open) October 1, 2, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 22,
23, 29, 30

Shifts are 8 hours including lunch and breaks

All roles will double as off-stage puppeteers

Princess Melrose – The beautiful daughter of King Orchard, she lives for
nature, fun and adventure and sings about the man she wants to marry.

Patch Greenleaf – Handsome, fit farm hand, falls in love with the Princess

King Orchard – Older, just shy of senile, but full of love

Paisley Pumpkin – energetic, fun, comedic, communicates through pantomime

Saurcede (Sourseed) – tall, dark and sinister – plans to take over the
Kingdom

Puppeteer – will work several puppets –Please have a wide range of
character type voices



Auditions will be held at Mapleside Farms (in the cellar) Saturday August 20
th at 11:00am and Wednesday August 24th at 7pm.

Bring Headshot and resume and a short upbeat or comedic monologue

*be prepared to improv

Princess Melrose must be able to sing a cappella
