Synopsis: "1960's male harmony quartet Forever Plaid returns from thehereafter to perform the television Christmas special they never got to beforethey met their untimely demise. Featuring such great 50's & 60's hits like"Sh-Boom", "Mambo Italiano", "Strangers in Paradise","Hey There" and lots of holiday favorites, "Plaid Tidings"is sure fire family fun for the holiday season."



Show dates: November 18th through December 18th
Rehearsals to be determined based on actor availability but may begin asearly as September 18th.

CLAGUE PLAYHOUSE auditions begin at 7:30 pm. No appointmentis required. Headshots and resumes are always welcome and most helpful.


Auditionees are asked to bring two songs of contrastingstyle that show off their vocal range. Musical theatre selections, 50-60sselections in the style of the show and Christmas songs are all appropriate andwelcome.  
Please bring sheet music in thecorrect key or your own prerecorded accompaniment. All auditionees will also be taught a short dance audition,so dress for movement.


Auditionees will be asked to cold read from the script. Youmay be asked to stay to read additional scenes.There will be callbacks – schedule tbd.


Clague Playhouse is a non-profit 501c3 community theater.Actors receive a modest stipend for their involvement.


Needed - 4 Males - Characters:

Frankie   Theleader and caretaker of the group. Confident. Asthmatic. He has a great deal ofcompassion for the music and the group. Romantic crooner and spiritual singer.  Age: 18-30. Vocal range top: B5 / bottom: F3

Jinx   The shyone. He lives his life terrified and doesn't always remember what song comesnext. Sparky's step-brother, he occasionally gets a nosebleed when he singsabove an A.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: D6 / bottom: F3

Sparky   Theclown of the group. Very sharp and loves singing his tailor-made solos. Wears aretainer and has a slight speech impediment. Energetic and clever.  Age: 18-30. Vocal range top: G5 / bottom: F3

Smudge  Theworrier. He worries about the props, the running order, and always assumes theaudience won't like him. Has chronic nervous stomach and is oddly reluctant toperform. Wears glasses, which hides his good looks and sex appeal.  Age: 18-30. Vocal range top: G5 / bottom: F3
