Wandering Aesthetics’ Pop-Up Theater


The Pop-Up Theater at Better Block, located on Riverfront Pkwy in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, will open this Friday, September 26th at 5:30 PM and will feature four (4) youth theatre workshops – PLAY! – and one theatrical storytelling performance –  Spooky Campfire Tales (For Adults). The Pop-Up Theater at Better Block will close Saturday, September 27th following the final youth workshop. 

POP-UP THEATER SCHEDULE:

Friday (8/26) @ 6:00 PM - 6:50 PM (PLAY!)
Friday (8/26) @ 7:00 PM - 7:50 PM (PLAY!)
Friday (8/26) @ 9:30 PM (Spooky Campfire Tales (For Adults)) 
Saturday (8/27) @ 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM (PLAY!)
Saturday (8/27) @ 11:00 AM - 11:50 AM (PLAY!)

ABOUT PLAY!:

A theatre games class for students ages 6 - 12.

The cost is $10/session or $15 for both sessions.
Parents may drop off their children in the Pop-Up Theater while they enjoy the block! (The maximum class size is 12, so first come, first served!)

It’s all about PLAY! Join Wandering Aesthetics, an Akron-based storytelling theatre company, as they lead these workshops at Falls Better Block highlighting the basics of teamwork and how that relates to the art of theatre.

The lives of children are ones of theatricality and experimentation, as they discover their world and themselves through play. By working together students learn to celebrate diversity as they discover the power of positive relationships and engagement of their collective imaginations. Ages 6 - 12.

*Wandering Aesthetics uses a play-based approach to teach, guiding students to learn through imagination, movement and experimentation.

ABOUT Spooky Campfire Tales (For Adults):

Friday @ 9:30 PM (50 minutes)
Location: Pop-Up Theater at Better Block
Cost: $10/person; maximum audience size is 18.

Gather around the "campfire" and join Master Storyteller Kyle Jozsa of Wandering Aesthetics this Friday (8/26) as he leads audiences on a spine-tingling journey deep into the backwoods of the imagination. There are many chills, thrills, and laughs sprinkled throughout this 50 minute long solo storytelling performance.

“Better Blocks” are made by the communities within them. Arts and culture play a significant role in these communities, stimulating creativity and offering new ways to live, work and play together. 

The Wandering Aesthetics’ Pop-Up Theater at Better Block, a literal tent on the Falls Better Block footprint, seeks to provide that sense of creativity and entertainment to the Cuyahoga Falls community.
