The FOREVER PLAID Holiday Show -"Plaid Tidings" at Clague PlayhouseMonday, August 29 at 7:30 pm A Special Holiday Edition of Forever Plaid by Stuart RossDirected by Mike Larochelle, Choreographed by Brenda Larochelle, Music Direction and accompaniment by David Bird, Production Management / Stage Management by Candace Lipton Synopsis: "1960's male harmony quartet Forever Plaid returns from the hereafter to perform the television Christmas special they never got to before they met their untimely demise. Featuring such great 50's & 60's hits like "Sh-Boom", "Mambo Italiano", "Strangers in Paradise", "Hey There" and lots of holiday favorites, "Plaid Tidings" is sure fire family fun for the holiday season." ADDITIONAL AUDITIONS: Monday, August 29 @ 7:30pm Show dates: November 18th through December 18th Rehearsals to be determined based on actor availability but may begin as early as September 18th. * CLAGUE PLAYHOUSE auditions begin at 7:30 pm. No appointment is required. Headshots and resumes are always welcome and most helpful. * Auditionees are asked to bring two songs of contrasting style that show off their vocal range. Musical theatre selections, 50-60s selections in the style of the show and Christmas songs are all appropriate and welcome.   * Please bring sheet music in the correct key or your own prerecorded accompaniment. All auditionees will also be taught a short dance audition, so dress for movement. * Auditionees will be asked to cold read from the script. You may be asked to stay to read additional scenes. There will be callbacks – schedule tbd. * Clague Playhouse is a non-profit 501c3 community theater. Actors receive a modest stipend for their involvement. Needed - 4 Males - Characters:Frankie   The leader and caretaker of the group. Confident. Asthmatic. He has a great deal of compassion for the music and the group. Romantic crooner and spiritual singer.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: B5 / bottom: F3Jinx   The shy one. He lives his life terrified and doesn't always remember what song comes next. Sparky's step-brother, he occasionally gets a nosebleed when he sings above an A.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: D6 / bottom: F3Sparky   The clown of the group. Very sharp and loves singing his tailor-made solos. Wears a retainer and has a slight speech impediment. Energetic and clever.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: G5 / bottom: F3Smudge  The worrier. He worries about the props, the running order, and always assumes the audience won't like him. Has chronic nervous stomach and is oddly reluctant to perform. Wears glasses, which hides his good looks and sex appeal.  Age: 18-30.
