Community theater reviews to appear in clevelandjewishnews.com

Starting this week, the CJN will be providing weekly reviews of community theater productions.  Talented, industrious and often unheralded, the directors, designers and actors who make up the string of amateur, community-based storytellers across Northeast Ohio will have their work reviewed and posted on our website.   

Other local newspapers that will be printing or posting these reviews include the News-Herald, the Morning Journal, the Chagrin Valley Times, Solon Times and Geauga Times Courier.

Crossing Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Lorain, Ashtabula, Geauga, and Lake counties, CJN’s corp of designated critics will be offering more complete coverage of the local theater scene. 

Our community theater critics consist of students trained and experienced in arts journalism from Cleveland State University, under the guidance of CJN theater columnist Bob Abelman.  They are supported by a CSU Civic Engagement Grant designed to creatively connect the campus with the community by fostering partnerships outside of the university.
