DEARLY BELOVED By Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope opens this
Thurdsday, September 8!

Dave MacKeigan takes to the director’s chair again as the sisters Futrelle
do their best to pull off a wedding for Tina Jo. Its Antebellum theme
clashes a bit with a potluck reception, but that’s the least of the
problems. Hilarity rules as secrets, suspicions, jealousies and ancient
history rear their heads and threaten to dislodge the day. The mother of
the groom throws an unexpected curve, but is derailed herself when the
happy couple goes AWOL. The sisters pull together to find ways to keep
unsuspecting guests in the pews while the local police officer tries to
track down the runaway bride and groom. This fast paced, wacky look at life
in Fayro is absolutely priceless!

Calling all storytellers!!! That most wonderful time of the year is fast
approaching and Workshop Players wants to celebrate it by doing a show!
What a great way to find some Holiday cheer and
share it with your family and friends!!

Kristina Rivera will be directing this heartwarming tale of Holiday
hilarity and nostalgia… look out, because “Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas” is
on its way!!!

Director Kristina Rivera looking for a cast of at least 5 (this cast is
flexible and can be expanded to include 8-12 actors). Come prepared to read
excerpts from the script and sing your favorite Christmas Carol (bring
sheet music in the correct key please) headshots are encouraged, but not
required; bring your best comedic and dramatic skills, wit and willingness
to entertain the masses that are sure to come see this charming show!!

Below are character descriptions:

Phil: 50-70, paternal, witty and a bit of a curmudgeon.

Nick: 30s-50s, wry with a warm fatherly side. Comedic with a strong
dramatic element about him.

Rusty: late 20s-40s, soulful and wise for his age, the twinkle in his eye
suggests he always “gets the joke.”

Dawn: late 20s-40s, spunky, warm, comedic with a dramatic side.

Peggy: late 40s-60s, maternal, witty, warm and motherly. Knows how to live
a full life, but shares being a curmudgeon with Phil.

Auditions will take place at Workshop Players on Monday and Tuesday,
September 12th and 13th at 7pm.
Rehearsals begin late September through November with time off for
Thanksgiving. Show dates are the first 3 weekends of December.
