Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, Ohio, will hold auditions this weekend for its holiday offering, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

Auditions will be at the theater Sunday and Monday, Oct. 2-3. Sunday auditions are from 4-6 p.m. and Monday’s session will run from 6-8:30 p.m. Auditions will be asked to read from the script and sing a Christmas carol of their choosing. Show dates are Dec. 2-4 and 9-11. Director is Kirsten Emerson.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” was written by Barbara Robinson and tells the tale of a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant who are faced with casting the Herdman kids - probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas
story head-on. This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling Young Adult book, and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States! Features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and a lot of laughs! Cast requirements include 17 youngsters of various ages and 10 adults.

Entering its third year, ABOB is located in a converted turn-of-the-century church in Conneaut’s downtown area, complete with stained glass, balcony with brass handrail and unsurpassed acoustics. State-of-the-art lighting and sound systems have been incorporated to make an ABOB show a truly memorable experience.
