Welcome to the hottest spot in Harlem. In the 1920s and 30s the Cotton Club
was the citadel of the New York jazz scene, its stage filled with the
greatest black musical and theatrical talent this country has ever
produced: Lena Horne, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway and so many more.
“Stormy Weather” was introduced there, and “I’ve Got the World on a
String.” Internationally famous, the room attracted royalty. But the club
also embodied American racism, with a “whites-only” admittance policy that
sent its performers to the kitchen for supper. Get your tickets early as
TMTP and Cleveland Jazz Orchestra join forces to document a stunning
chapter in the history of American entertainment.

Co-hosted by *Bill Rudman* and *Paul Ferguson* | Featuring Cleveland Jazz
Orchestra, the *Joe Hunter *Trio*, John Morton, Treva Offutt* and *Evelyn
Wright*
