Location: The Cassidy Theatre, 6200 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, OH 44130

(In the Greenbrier Commons, behind the Police Station)

Please prepare the following:

*         If you'd like to audition for a caroler, please prepare audition song that showcases range (No acapella singing. Please have sheet music in correct key).

*         Otherwise, there will be cold readings at auditions


*Bring a headshot and resume if available.


*Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have during the rehearsal period.

This excellent adaptation of Dickens' beloved story has all the humor and spirit of the Christmas season. Charles Dickens, appears as the narrator of this tale and takes the audience along each scene as the story of Ebenezer Scrooge unfolds. The play is framed by a choir of young carolers singing Christmas carols telling the famous tale of finding one's humanity and the true meaning of Christmas.

Character Breakdown (some roles will be doubled):

NARRATOR: Charles Dickens (the likeness of him in character)

EBENEZER SCROOGE: A miserly, money-hungry businessman

BOB CRATCHIT: Scrooge's clerk

FRED: Scrooge's nephew

TINY TIM: The lame son of the Cratchits

MRS. CRATCHIT: Bob Cratchit's wife

JACOB MARLEY: Scrooge's business partner who died seven years ago

MR. FEZZIWIG: Scrooge's first employer

MRS. FEZZIWIG: Mr. Fezziwig's wife

DICK WILKINS: Another apprentice at Fezziwig's establishment

EBENEZER: Scrooge, as a young apprentice

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: The first of the spirits foretold by Marley who shows Scrooge his past Christmases.

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT: The second of the spirits foretold by Marley that shows Scrooge Christmas celebrations in the present time

THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS YET TO COME: the third spirit foretold by Marley that shows Scrooge Christmases in the Future

BOY: The boy Scrooge sends to buy the big prize turkey
