Dunamis Theater Company Presents:
Artist in Unity: An Exploration of Music, Theater, and Visual Art
Featuring Paula Vogel’s Hot N’ Throbbing


Akron, Ohio- Join the new theater movement in Akron as Dunamis Theater Company celebrates their kick off show Artists In Unity: An Exploration of Music, Theater, and Visual Art. It is a collaboration of Theater, Music, and Visual Art featuring some of Akron’s finest artists. Each night begins with music from various groups such as Light of the Loon, Bad New Benny and the Night Fevers, Natalie Martin, Josephine Marie with Tracey Thomas Shepard, and newcomers Madison Jeannette and The Church of Starry Wisdom.


The second half of the night will feature Paula Vogel’s Hot N’ Throbbing directed by Nici Romo and stars Tyson Sebree, Silina Rivera,Minor Cline and Myriah Wiltrout, Hailed as Vogel’s edgiest play, it is an exploration of society, family, and the human condition.  This dark farce brings up the questions of “Obscenity starting at home” and “ The sexualization of the our modern society” Dunamis Theater Company weaves the tale in such a way that you will leave breathless.


This fantastic night all takes place at the stunning, historical Rialto Theater , 1000 Kenmore Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44314 The Rialto is one of the oldest theaters in Akron and has been beautifully remodeled by Seth and Nate Vaill to host a wide variety of  from music, comedy, and community events. On display at the theater will be visual artistry by photographers, painters, and sculptors such as Emily Durway, Elieen Matias, Chris Jordan, and Brandon McCutcheon.


Artists in Unity open November 3rd and runs through the 5th and the following weekend the 10th-12th. The show begins at 7pm for the pre show musical act and the play starts at 8pm. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $10 suggested donation at the door and can be reserved at Dunamistheatercompany at gmail.com or call 330-962-8792. There is a surcharge of $5 for those under 21. Intended audiences are for 16 and up or with a parent guardian due to the mature content of the play.
