*Complete and Total Spreads Awareness of Heroin Issue in Communities*

*Geauga Lyric Theater: November 12 at 7pm*

*Kent State/Geauga Branch campus November 16 at 7:30pm*

*FREE ADMISSION*

If you pay attention to the news, multiple overdose deaths are reported
every day. In Ohio, in even our small communities, people are dying at a
rate that alarms and saddens law officers and medical personnel. A common
link between the tight-knit villages and big cities is that this problem is
always seen as being in someone else’s back yard.

Chardon and surrounding areas are not immune. Art sometimes helps to
bridge the gap that exists between knowing and understanding. Because of
this, several area businesses and groups are sponsoring *Complete and Total*,
an original play by local playwright Greg Vovos, at Geauga Lyric Theater.
Directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, it follows the story of a high school
student with a bright future ahead of him, but heroin and addiction quickly
become his top priority. The Mind, the only sober part left of his brain,
believes in his ability to become clean, but it’s not that simple.

Performed by a small student cast, this production is offered to schools
and other groups, as well as a public performance at Geauga Lyric Theater
on November 12 at 7:00pm. The performance will be followed by a
talk-back/question and answer period by several local professionals. Kent’s
Geauga campus will also host a performance on November 16 at 7:30pm. *Complete
and Total* will be offered to the public free of admission charge, thanks
to the sponsors Walmart Foundation, New Vision at University Hospitals
Medical Center, and Chardon Community Action Team.
