Historic Hoover Auditorium is a 2,500 theater located in Lakeside Chautauqua which is situated on Ohio's Most Beautiful Mile on Lake Erie. This presenting theater boasts over 75 shows during our ten week season. Some of the greatest speakers and entertainers have graced our stage including the like of Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Earhart, Ray Charles, Melissa Manchester, and most recently Amy Grant and Three Dog Night. Both positions are paid full-time and housing options are available. Hoover Stage Crew
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (To include other duties that may be assigned.)
*      Assists in pre and post season cleaning, maintenance and equipment set up
*      Performs daily load in/set up/load out of all equipment required for performance including staging, sound equipment, musical instruments, etc.
*      Performs daily/weekly facility maintenance and stage set-up duties
*      Assists Hoover Lighting Technician with hang & focus of stage lighting
*      Assists with performer's hospitality needs
*      Serves as running crew for evening show in one of the following roles:
Light Board Operator/Stage Manager
Video Switcher                           Camera Operator
Spotlight Operator                    Backstage Crew/Asst. Stage Manager
*      Provides a safe atmosphere for all guests and employees of Hoover Auditorium
*      Ensures customer service and satisfaction are of highest priority with all staff
*      Communicates with all parties in an efficient and effective manner
*      Exhibits strong work ethic and professionalism in all aspects of position
*      Evaluates Hoover stage crew mid and post season

Hoover Lighting Tech
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (To include other duties that may be assigned.)
*      Reviews all technical riders to prep lighting for each show as required by contract
*      Works with performer(s) and/or technical staff on lighting needs for the performance
*      Consults with Hoover Technical Director and VP of Programming regarding lighting requirements and purchases
*      Organizes light board, circuits and dimmers for easy use and quick changes
*      Trains Hoover Stage Crew on lighting basics and light board operation
*      Calls spot cues when running a show
*      Assists with technical needs for each performance by serving in one of the following roles:
Light Board Operator/Stage Manager
Video Switcher                           Camera Operator
Spotlight Operator                    Backstage Crew/Assistant Stage Manager
*      Assists with daily and weekly cleaning duties both backstage and front of house
*      Provides a safe atmosphere for all guests and employees of Hoover Auditorium
*      Ensures customer relations and satisfaction are of highest priority with all staff
*      Communicates with all parties in an efficient and effective manner
*      Exhibits strong work ethic and professionalism in all aspects of position
