[NEohioPAL] Reminder: Auditions for "Southern Fried Funeral", Dec. 9 - 11 at Independence Community Theatre

Independence CommunityTheatre is pleased to announce auditions for “Southern Fried Funeral”.  
 
Auditions will be held:
·        Friday,December 9 from 7 to 9 pm
·        Saturday,December 10 from 8 to 9 pm
·        Sunday,December 11 from 1 to 3 pm
 
Location:  Independence Old Town Hall, 6652 Brecksville Rd, Independence OH(upstairs).  
All auditions are a cold reading from the script.
Performance Dates:  Friday andSaturday, March 3, 4,10, 11, 17, 18 with Sunday matinee on March 12.
Rehearsals:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdayfrom 7 - 9 pm starting on January 9.  TechWeek will be February 22 through March 2.

ShowSynopsis:  Dewey Frye is dead and his wife Dorothy is left behind topick up the pieces and hold her family together. Her daughters are at eachother’s throats, Ozella Meeks from the SonShine committee is trying to takeover the funeral, and Dewey’s brother is trying to take away her house.Funerals bring out the worst, the best, and the funniest in people, and theFrye family is no exception. A big-hearted comedy about family- Southern Style.
 
The cast consists of 6women and 5 men.  All roles are unpaid.
 
Character Descriptions
DOROTHY FRYE (50s/60s): Dewey Frye’s widow and the matriarch ofthe family. 
 
SAMMY JO LeFETTE (30s): The middle child and future presidentof the Junior League. 
 
HARLENE FRYE (30s/40s): The oldest child and prodigal daughter.
 
DEWEY FRYE JR (20s): The youngest child and not thebrightest bulb. 
 
DUB FRYE (50s/60s): Dorothy’s brother-in-law. 
 
ATTICUS VAN LEER (30s/40s): Family lawyer and on-again-off-againlove interest of Harlene. 
 
BEECHAM LeFETTE (30s): Sammy Jo’s husband.
 
MARTHA ANN FOX (50s/60s): Dorothy’s best friend; first namepronounced “Marthann”. 
 
FAIRY JUNE COOPER: Contemporary of Dorothy and Martha Ann.All friends since high school. 
 
BENNY CHARLES GREENWOOD(50s/60s): Best friend of Dewey FryeSr. 
 
OZELLA MEEKS: Chairwoman of the SonShine committee atthe church, a position she does not take lightly.
