[NEohioPAL] CPT now accepting proposals for Station Hope 2017

Dear Northeast Ohio artists,

CPT is beginning to plan the fourth annual Station Hope event - a free multi-arts event that celebrates the triumphs of the Underground Railroad, Cleveland's social justice history and contemporary struggles for freedom and justice. The format of Station Hope includes multiple stages with 10-15 minute pieces performing simultaneously throughout the evening.

This year, Station Hope will be a massive community celebration at and surrounding Ohio City's historic St. John's Church - Cleveland's only authenticated Underground Railroad site - on April 29th, 2017.

CPT is looking for artists, performance groups, choirs and organizations to create original work and perform at this powerful event. Performances can range from site-specific plays, actors in character wandering through the event, or your church choir singing. We are also seeking visual artists who are interested in creating community generated art and installations.

You are encouraged to attend a tour of St. John's Church on one of the dates below. RSVPs are required. Please RSVP to Associate Artistic Director, Beth Wood at bwood at cptonline.org<mailto:bwood at cptonline.org> at least 24 hours in advance.

Tour #1: Saturday, January 28th at 6:30pm
Tour #2: Monday, January 30th at 5:00pm
