Verb Ballets' Producing Artistic Director to attend IABD Conference and Audition

Dr. Carlson to represent Verb Ballets seeking dancers for 2017-18 season


CLEVELAND, OH - Verb Ballets' Producing Artistic Director, Dr. Margaret Carlson, is attending the 29th Annual International Conference and Festival of Blacks in Dance (IABD) for "Boundless Excellence in Dance," honoring dance industry trailblazer Robert Battle, Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The conference and festival takes place January 25 - 29, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.


Verb Ballets is a member of IABD. More than 700 participants worldwide are expected to attend the 29th Annual International Conference and Festival in Dallas. The conference and festival is filled with master classes, lecture/demonstrations, panels, workshops, performances and auditions. Carlson will be attending the multi-company audition for professionals conducted by the founding and member companies of IABD.


Verb Ballets is seeking male and female dancers for the 17-18 season. Verb Ballets is a contemporary ballet company located in Shaker Heights, Ohio just minutes from downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Verb Ballets presents dynamic programming through bold artistry, unique styles and technical excellence that captivates a broad audience. Verb Ballets is seeking male and female dancers with annual 10-11 month contracts that include fringe benefits and a two week paid vacation. Must have a strong background in ballet and contemporary technique. Submission must include headshot, resume and a You Tube link, Vimeo or DVD showing dancers abilities.
