LAKESHORE BALLET THEATRE IS NOW AUDITIONING FOR OUR DANCE COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM & PAID APPRENTICE POSITIONS.......

Lakeshore Ballet Theatre's Apprenticeship Program is a challenging and engaging opportunity for young dancers and future colleagues in the field of dance between the ages of 17 and 21. The apprenticeship introduces soon to be college students & current college students to the world of professional dance for those interested in performing in television/theatre or teaching dance. These young professionals will get the opportunity to train with professional dancers & highly trained teachers in the areas of Technique, Choreography, Show Production, Artistic Direction, Costumes, Dance Education for grades k-12, Marketing/ Management & more.  Our main goal is to train future leaders in dance & prepare them for an ever changing field. A great opportunity for young professionals to enhance their resume. Student teaching will also be involved. We do work with area colleges, so students can gain credit for this Apprentice/Internship Program. Students should be a well rounded dancer with experience in Classical Ballet, Jazz,  & Contemporary.  Tap & Jazz Funk  is a plus! Our apprentices will receive a competitive weekly stipend, monthly gas card, dance clothing & shoes. We also supply costumes for all shows at no charge for apprentices.   
Dancers will also receive the opportunity to receive certification in Pilates and/or Body Sculpting for further teaching opportunities if interested.  




Lakeshore Ballet Theatre's Pre-Professional /College Preparatory Program is designed for the serious dancer  ages 13 to 18 who is interested in gaining a minor or major in dance at the college level. Perfect for the student who is interested in seeking a career in Dance Education, Performance in Television or BroadwayTheatre. Learn from all professional dancers who are still performing around the U.S.  In depth study in the areas of Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre Dance, Tap & Dance for Television & Broadway, Choreography & more . Students will receive transcripts & a full portfolio upon graduation from our school with head shots, edited video & letters of recommendation. A one of a kind program in the state of Ohio. Students will also be able to participate in our full Summer Dance Intensive Program & Master Classes & Workshops that  are offered various times throughout the year. All students accepted into the pre-professional program do receive financial aid (up to 70% off tuition) to help families pay for classes. LBT's mission is to expose students to a high level of training, with well rounded education at a very affordable price. Students also receive all dance apparel & shoes at wholesale costs. Program is also open to students interested in seeking an associates degree ( 2 years ) or bachelor's degree ( 4 years) in the arts.
 
Note: We do not require students/families  in this program to buy any costumes. We charge small rental fees for costumes for the larger shows, but no costume rental fees for showcases.


Both apprentices and pre-professional students will perform in various professional dance theatre shows & showcases. Many performance opportunities all year round, including Summer. 


DANCERS MUST COME IN A DARK COLORED LEOTARD, TIGHTS, WRAP SKIRT. PLEASE BRING ALL DANCE SHOES & a PAIR OF DARK LEGGINGS. HAIR MUST BE UP IN A BUN. DANCERS DO NOT NEED TO ARRIVE WARMED UP AS THERE WILL BE A WARM UP CLASS AT 1 P.M.  CALL 440-503-2974 TO REGISTER.
