A collaboration between Mamai Theatre Company, Playhouse Square, and
Cleveland State University within the inaugural AHA! Festival
<http://www.ahacsu.com/#/home> (Arts & Humanities Alive!), the Ephron
sisters' play of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and
memory covers all of the important subjects—mothers, prom dresses, mothers,
buying bras, mothers, hating purses and why we only wear black. Based on
the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman.
"Funny, compelling…Brought down the house…but [the play] is not a comedy: A
story about black cowboy boots becomes a sad tale of being
under-appreciated in a relationship; a tale of two women shopping for their
wedding outfits ends bittersweetly; and the recollection of a new bra is a
quiet testament to a woman's search for dignity while undergoing treatment
for breast cancer." - The New York Times
“Love, Loss and What I Wore” is presented by special arrangement with
Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

Imagine the most iconic mother of all time telling her private version of a
story we thought we knew. Colm Toibin’s retelling of the pivotal events in
the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Mary the survivor challenges
us to imagine the suffering, courage and strength of mothers on a colossal
scale -- up close and personal. Prepare to join a gifted playwright and
performer in a one-of-a-kind solo journey that will leave you with new
insight and questions, along with a deeper appreciation for human endurance
in the context of mystery.
"Mary stripped bare... A private tête-à-tête with a woman who has
an extraordinary story to tell." The New York Times
Originally produced on Broadway by Scott Rudin Productions. Commissioned by
Dublin Theatre Festival and Landmark Productions with the support of Irish
Theatre Trust.

Imagine a devoted wife and mother who makes an unexpected journey to an
unplanned exit with a famous door slam heard around the world. Ibsen’s
1870s classic reshaped through a 1937 adaptation by American master
Thornton Wilder takes audiences on a suspenseful ride to the edge of a
gaping precipice of personal discovery that has a potential gain so great,
that even a mother’s love and a wife’s duty can be swayed to sacrifice.
"A solitary soul is heard gasping as if her last breath
were at hand." -- The New York Times
“Doll's House, A (Wilder)” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL
