Beck Center for the Arts Partners with The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland
and Equality Ohio for Timely Post–Performance Talk–Back

Lakewood, OH—Beck Center for the Arts proudly presents a special Talk–Back immediately following the 8 p.m. performance of A Great Wilderness on Friday, March 31 in the Studio Theater. This regional premiere addresses issues currently appearing in the daily news. It not only explores LGBTQ conversion therapy, but reflects the ongoing challenges that come with prejudices still evident today. Our panelists will speak to these issues and other relevant topics. About the organizations:

Founded in 1975, The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is a leading non–profit organization that empowers Northeast Ohio’s LGBTQ community through advocacy, education, collaboration and celebration. A one–stop hub, it provides a welcoming and visible safe space, health and wellness services, cultural competency training, government and media outreach, social events and a variety of programs. Their mission: To enrich the lives of the diverse LGBTQ community through advocacy, support, education, and celebration.

Equality Ohio was founded in 2005 by a group of 65 dedicated LGBT activists and allies from all corners of Ohio after voters passed a constitutional amendment prohibiting same sex marriage and civil unions. Now, Equality Ohio’s work is broad and focuses on multiple aspects of LGBTQ equality in Ohio. Equality Ohio advocates and educates to achieve fair treatment and equal opportunity for all Ohioans regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

Tickets are $31 for adults, $27 for seniors (65 and older), and $12 for students with a valid I.D. A $3 service fee per ticket will be applied at time of purchase.
