[NEohioPAL] Gospel Song Celebration - April 2

*Lift Ev'ry Voice*, A Gospel Song Celebration remembering Martin Luther
King, Jr. will be presented on Sunday, April 2 at Lakeside Performing Arts
Center, 6600 Sanborn Road, Ashtabula 44004.  The music will be led by guest
artist Jared Jacobsen, organist and director of worship at Chautauqua
Institution (NY). * Singers who would like to be part of the "Lead" Event
Choir* are invited to arrive at 2:00 pm for rehearsals and instructions.
The concert will begin at 4:00 pm.  The program will include gospel songs,
spirituals, poems, and speeches by Dr. King. The Ashtabula County Choral
Music Society *Chorale* will perform music from Africa and well-known
spirituals.  The singers will lead the audience in singing together the
hymns and spirituals that contributed so much to the spirit and faith of
the civil rights movement.

The event is presented free of admission charge by the Ashtabula County
Choral Music Society in collaboration with the Lakeside Society for the
Performing Arts and the Ashtabula Area City Schools. FMI: leave a message
