KARAMU HOUSE REVIVES SUMMER ARTS PROGRAMMING FOR YOUTH

Summer Arts at Karamu
MAY 30 - AUGUST 4, 2017

Karamu House continues to strengthen its commitment to cultivating community engagement by hosting a diverse arts intensive this summer.  Karamu House will host Summer Arts at Karamu, a performance-based, arts intensive from May 30 through August 4, 2017.  Students will receive focused instruction in dance, drama, vocal music, creative writing and visual arts led by professional artists. Classes will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (with breakfast being served at 8:30 am), and all classes will be held at Karamu House located at 2355 East 89th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.

The programming is available for children in grades 3 through 12 and each session will culminate with a youth production!

SESSION 1
May 30 - June 30

SESSION 2
July 5 - August 4

Families have the option to enroll their children in one five-week session, or both sessions for the full ten weeks.  Tuition for students will cover weekly sessions, as well as healthy breakfast, lunch and snack.  Financial assistance is available for families.  Scholarships may be available based on need and availability of funds.
