Beck Center's summer musical, "*City of Angels*" (Tony Award for Best
Musical in 1990) is seeking three strong male actors for character roles in
the production.

These roles weave in and out of the action, but are small enough to afford
the actor a fairly simple rehearsal schedule as compared to many Ensemble
roles in a typical musical.

Rehearsals begin for "*City of Angels*" in late May. It *opens July 7th*
with a *closing on Aug.* *13th*. This production plays ONLY on Fri/Sat
Nights and Sun. afternoons.

All three of these roles do NOT require singing. They are acting roles in
search of very strong character actors. If you are interested in being seen
for any of these roles please contact Scott at scottdavidspence at gmail.com
so we can set up an appointment to see you.

These roles are all stipended. Actor conflicts can be worked around through
approximately June 25th or so.

*ROLES*

*Sonny*---- Age 30 to 50 Your typical 1940's weasle-like crime heavy. Next
to his partner in
crime (Big Six---see below) he is clearly the brains of the
operation. Actor needs to
bring some true menace to the role. Should be on the trim
side. 5'8" to 6'0" ideally.

*Big Six*--- Sonny's partner. Ideally an imposing mountain of a man. In a
perfect world? 6' 8".
               Looking for no less than 6' 2", and ideally 6' 4" or 6' 5"
realistically. Can be heavy---
can be muscular. But clearly he is built to do damage. Not
the sharpest tool in the
shed, but he has other resources. Age 25 to 50.

*Dr. Mandril*--- 40 to 60 years old. A strange and quirky "Spiritual
Therapist" to wealthy,
but iron-lung bound Millionaire Luther Kingsley. Creepy
and of ambiguous intent,
he manages to catch one of the many flying bullets.

All three of these characters appear in the "Movie" portions of the script,
but also have brief
cameos in other scenes as real-life Hollywood types.

Please drop us an e-mail (do NOT call Beck's Box Office) if you'd like to
schedule a time to be seen, or simply have additional questions. The cast
that is already in place for this production is top notch, and we are
looking to complete it with some amazing talent.
