[NEohioPAL] Get Hep Swing's annual swing prom is this Saturday, April 29th.

It’s not unusual for Get Hep Swing, the local group behind swing revival and Lindy hop dancing, to have open soirees, at least once a month, at the Slovenian Workmen’s Home on Waterloo Road, on Cleveland’s east side. But this time of year the April edition is super-expanded, in honor of high school prom season.

Visitors are welcome at Swing Prom to come in whatever prom getup they fancy — vintage-retro to campy to, who knows, maybe even Sissy Spacek in Carrie. Get Hep Swing founder Valerie Salstrom will teach an intro to jitterbug lesson for the first hour, then things get lively, with live band Red Light Roxy, and recognition of a prom king and queen.
