IndependenceCommunity Theatre closes its current season with
“Songs for a New World”


With arousing score that blends elements of pop, gospel and jazz, featuring tightharmonies and darling vocals, “Songsfor a New World” transports its audience from the deck ofa Spanish sailing ship bound for a new land, to the ledge of a New Yorkpenthouse. Characters range from a young man in the Bronx who dreams ofbecoming a famous basketball player, to a forlorn and neglected Mrs. Clauslamenting as Christmas approaches.
