casting works; auditioning for parts, theatre etiquette and students
will learn how to create sets, work with props, the roles behind the
scenes and much more! Under the direction Kelly Clark, classes will be

The Comedy
*CASEY AT THE BAT
Adapted by Noah Smith
Based on the poem by Ernest L. Thayer
Mudville's star slugger, the Mighty Casey, has struck out and now
Mudville has one chance left to win the series. But millionaire Bob
Evilman bribes Casey to lose the final game. Jimmy Blake, a young rookie
on the team, overhears this and vows to win without Casey. Can he do it?
This easy-to-stage play has a wonderful moral about hard work, honesty
and team playing, but it's never preachy. It incorporates much of the
famous poem with lots of action (in some cases fast forward!), lots of
humor and optional dialogue. It's sure to score a home run with young
audiences. *Pending Rights
The Musical
GIANTS IN THE SKY
Music & Lyrics by Denver Casado
Book & Lyrics by Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm
This magical story explores the world of Giants who live above the
clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made
a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They
polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets.
But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth,
so she steals a key to the locked up “beanstalk” and embarks on an
adventure down below!
