Cleveland Play House (LORT B, C, and D), America’s first regional theatre andrecipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is accepting applications aProperties Carpenter.  CPH produces a 7 show main stage season, a children’s tourand 2 shows with the Case Western Reserve University MFA acting program.The Properties Carpenter applicant should have 1-3years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre. Detailedknowledge of advanced woodworking required. Some metal working and welding. Working knowledge of mechanics aplus.  Must beable to plan projects and work independently, have good organizational andcommunication skills, and be able to assist the Properties Master with generalprops craftwork.  Props Carpenter isprimarily responsible for construction of furniture and large props. Also maintainsshop tools and equipment as well as hardware, lumber and metal inventories.Valid driver’s license, able to work at heights and to lift up to 50 lbs.  Position is Full-time Seasonal,eligible for benefits.  Engagement runsJuly 31, 2017 to May 13, 2018 with some layoff weeks between shows.
