[NEohioPAL] Auditions planned for late summer/fall shows at ABOB!

'Tis (almost) the season to audition at Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo, 236 Buffalo Street in Conneaut!

Ready to make the jump to the stage at ABOB? The following is the list of auditions currently planned for upcoming shows. All parts are available - none have been precast.

•"A Midsummer Nights Dream"
Auditions will be July 9 from 6-8 p.m. and July 10 from 7-9 p.m. This classic Shakespeare comedy will appear on stage Sept. 8-10 and 15-17. Readings will be from the script. Cast requirements are variable. Director is Dennis Dixon.

•"A Collection of One Acts"
Auditions will be July 9 from 6-8 p.m. and July 10 from 7-9 p.m. This performance will present a variety of short plays written by local authors. Performance dates are August 18-20. Readings will be from the scripts. Coordinating director is Felicia Leonard.

• "Zombies From The Beyond"
Auditions for the end-of-October musical parody of 1950s science fiction movies, will be Sept. 2 from 1-3 p.m. and Sept. 5 from 6-8 p.m. People planning to audition are advised to bring sheet music and be prepared to sing a Broadway-style song. There will also be readings from the script. Cast is 4 men and 3 women of various ages. Performance dates are Oct. 20-22 and 27-29. Director is Marti Dixon.

•"Four Weddings and an Elvis"
Auditions for this comedy about four weddings tied together through a cheesy Las Vegas wedding chapel will be Sept. 2 from 1-3 p.m. and Sept. 5 from 6-8 p.m. Cast is 7 men and 4 women, all adults. Performance dates are November 10-12 and 17-19. Director is David Bucci.

•"Annie"
Auditions for this heartwarming musical about the little orphan girl will be Aug. 27, 29 and 31 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for kids. Adult auditions will be held Sept. 7-8 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Callbacks will be Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. People planning to audition should bring sheet music and come prepared to sing a Broadway-style song. There will also be readings from the script. Performance dates are Dec. 1-3, 8-10, 15 and 16. Director is Kirsten Emerson.
